Manager, Behavioral Health
Umpqua Health is seeking a skilled and mission-driven Manager, Behavioral Health to lead our Behavioral Health Care Coordination team in delivering high-quality, person-centered care to our members. In this leadership role, you will oversee daily operations, guide strategic initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, all while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. You’ll play a critical role in improving outcomes for individuals with behavioral health needs by aligning clinical practices with organizational goals and community partnerships.
Your Impact:
- Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Behavioral Health Care Coordination team, ensuring alignment with Umpqua Health’s Vision, Mission, and Organizational Values.
- Develop, implement, and refine policies and procedures that promote effective and efficient care coordination and improve health outcomes for members with behavioral health needs.
- Lead multidisciplinary case reviews, support complex case strategy development, and drive initiatives that enhance service delivery and member engagement.
- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to align behavioral health initiatives with organizational performance goals and population health strategies.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in behavioral health care coordination, regulatory compliance, and member advocacy, providing guidance across departments.
- Mentor and support professional development for team members, identifying opportunities for leadership growth and succession planning.
- Represent Umpqua Health in external meetings with providers, regulatory agencies, and community partners to support care coordination initiatives and strengthen relationships.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring accountability for clinical quality, efficiency, member satisfaction, and compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support Umpqua Health’s Vision, Mission, and Organizational Values.
Your Credentials:
- Current, active licensure in the state of Oregon in one of the following: Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
- Minimum of five (5) years of clinical experience in behavioral health or integrated healthcare settings, including at least two (2) years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience in case management, utilization management, or disease management preferred.
- Certified Case Manager (CCM) credential preferred or willingness to obtain within a designated timeframe.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health systems, Medicaid/OHP regulatory frameworks, and care coordination best practices.
- Demonstrated success in managing multidisciplinary teams, leading quality improvement efforts, and navigating complex healthcare environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders and represent the organization in professional forums.
- Proficient with healthcare data systems, reporting tools, and electronic health records; strong Microsoft Office skills required.
