POSITION PURPOSE
The People Operations Project Manager is responsible for overseeing both technical and operational projects aimed at improving organizational efficiency, enhancing employee experience, and achieving strategic objectives. This role requires strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple complex projects from initiation to completion while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and priorities. The Project Manager plays a critical role in driving organizational success. This position requires an understanding of Human Resource Operations, technology and a desire to lead and manage employee engagement committees, events and technology and additional HR tasks.
 
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Defining the scope of a project, setting goals and deliverables with stakeholders
  • Creating detailed plans, timelines, milestones, and budgets for all projects
  • Putting together winning teams, developing, leading, and managing team members (including HR professionals and external vendors)
  • Monitoring the progress of projects, tracking performance, and resolving issues
  • Ensuring project deliverables are completed on time, are of high quality, and meet expectations
  • Communicating the status of projects with senior management and stakeholders
  • Developing and maintaining project documentation
  • Using project management tools and software to improve efficiency, collaboration, and effectiveness
  • Managing project budgets and expenses
  • Conducting project evaluations to assess success and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Continuous learning of HR processes and implementation of some HR functions related to benefits, employee relations and engagement.
  • Vendor relations, negotiations and account management.
  • Research and strategy to support company goals and attract talent.
  • Auditing existing programs, researching new options, and providing analytics to inform strategic development.
  • Employee communication includes informing staff of benefits, enrollment processes, options and engagement programs, review cycles, and training opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned within the scope of HR and People Management Division.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification and experience, bachelor’s degree in HR, Communications or related field preferred.
  • Experience in developing web technologies and software platforms for maximum usability
  • Strong attention to deadlines and budgetary guidelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Experience navigating and working across multiple groups and management levels
  • Advanced Microsoft Project, Power Point, Excel and Word background; experience to develop presentations and utilize data to collect, analyze, and present information
  • Must have strong analytical, influencing, and problem-solving skills.
  • No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (eg. Medicare/Medicaid)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with project management programs such as Visio, Monday.com, Trello, Microsoft Project, Asana, Drawio, Smart Sheet, etc.
  • Professional certification such as PMP, CAPM, or PRINCE2
  • Experience considering the impacts of the work on multiple communities, including communities of color, in technical analysis.
  • Experience working on a diverse team with different communication styles.
  • Bi-lingual translation or translation capabilities a plus

 
 
PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK CONDITIONS
  • A typical office environment requires standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 plus pounds. 
  • Ability to travel and drive to in-person meetings or be on-site as required.
  • May be exposed to patient and environment conditions such as unpleasant sights, smells and contagious diseases (clinic only).
